0 – Silence

We have been silent for a while. On all fronts, but especially here and on our website. That’s no bad thing to be honest. We’d much rather take a step back, enjoy some silence, gain some perspective, and recalibrate to begin again looking lean and feeling focused—as opposed to exhausting what we once had. So, from the silence we want to reconnect with our community and share your stories and experiences in the best way we can. You can expect a newsletter update once per month from now on.

1 – Journal

We will be rebooting our journal as a space for you to share your writing on minimalism and simple living. Maybe you experimented with small simplified lifestyle changes, maybe you made a minimal tool that you want to share, maybe you’ve taken minimalism to the extreme and you want others to see the impact it has had. Whatever it may be, you’re always invited to get involved. We’d love to hear from you.

2 – Domain

Recently, we made a small yet significant change: we changed our domain name (that is, our website address).

We managed to secure minimalism.com as our new home. This is huge for us in terms of our commitment to Minimalism Life and what it could become in the future. We have invested 6 years into this project so far and we feel like we’ve barely started. It is, after all, a side project for those of us running it, so it’s a bit of a slow burner. But this investment is a signifier, if only to ourselves, that we’re going to push this project on—one way or another.

3 – Manifesto

Recently, we added a manifesto to our website. A short outline of what Minimalism Life means to us and some guiding principles that will help shape what we create and the decisions we make. Check it out.

4 – Unsplash+

We’ve partnered with Unsplash+ to create a collection of photos captured from a minimalist perspective, featuring a minimal office, recording studio, and architecture.

5 – Book

We’re working on the final touches of our second volume of Inside Minimalism—a collection of short essays on simple living. The book will be available in various digital formats and a print-on-demand edition via Amazon. We’re aiming to publish in November this year. You can still order Vol.1 today.

6 – Project

Finally, we’re working on a new project that we’re excited to share with you and we’re aiming to launch it in December. We’re still ironing out details, but we’ll explain everything in the coming weeks.

Take it simple,
The Minimalism Life team
